1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of pest control services by Sun Pest Control Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”) to the customer (“you”, “your”). By accepting a quotation, booking an appointment, or allowing us to commence work, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

2. Services

Sun Pest Control Ltd provides pest inspection, treatment, monitoring, prevention, proofing, and related pest management services for residential and commercial properties.

We will carry out services with reasonable care and skill and in accordance with applicable industry standards and legislation.

3. Quotations and Pricing

3.1 All quotations are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.

3.2 Prices are based on the information provided by the customer and site conditions at the time of inspection.

3.3 Additional charges may apply where:

  • The infestation is more extensive than originally disclosed.

  • Additional visits are required.

  • Access difficulties are encountered.

  • Further proofing or repair works are requested.

3.4 All prices are inclusive or exclusive of VAT as stated on the quotation or invoice.

4. Access to Property

4.1 The customer must provide safe and reasonable access to all areas requiring inspection or treatment.

4.2 We reserve the right to postpone or cancel work if access is restricted or if conditions are deemed unsafe.

4.3 Additional charges may apply where appointments cannot be completed due to restricted access.

5. Customer Responsibilities

The customer agrees to:

  • Follow all preparation instructions provided before treatment.

  • Follow all post-treatment recommendations.

  • Keep children, pets, and vulnerable persons away from treated areas as instructed.

  • Inform us of any relevant health conditions, allergies, or sensitivities.

  • Notify us of any previous pest control treatments carried out at the property.

Failure to comply with instructions may affect treatment effectiveness and invalidate any guarantee offered.

6. Treatment Outcomes

6.1 Pest control treatments aim to reduce or eliminate pest activity; however, complete eradication cannot always be guaranteed.

6.2 Treatment effectiveness may be affected by:

  • Property condition.

  • Hygiene standards.

  • Structural defects.

  • Neighbouring infestations.

  • Environmental factors beyond our control.

6.3 Follow-up visits may be recommended to achieve optimal results.

7. Guarantees

7.1 Any guarantee offered applies only where expressly stated in writing.

7.2 Guarantees are subject to:

  • Full payment of all invoices.

  • Compliance with all recommendations and instructions.

  • No alteration of treated areas that may affect treatment effectiveness.

7.3 Guarantees do not apply where reinfestation occurs due to factors beyond our reasonable control.

8. Hazardous Materials and Pesticides

8.1 Pest control products are used in accordance with manufacturer instructions and relevant legislation.

8.2 The customer must follow all safety advice provided before, during, and after treatment.

8.3 We shall not be liable for any issues arising from failure to follow safety instructions.

9. Appointments and Cancellations

9.1 Customers must provide at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or rearrange an appointment.

9.2 We reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee for appointments cancelled with insufficient notice.

9.3 Missed appointments where access is unavailable may be charged in full.

10. Payment Terms

10.1 Payment is due upon completion of services unless otherwise agreed in writing.

10.2 Commercial customers may be offered alternative payment terms as stated on invoices.

10.3 We reserve the right to charge interest on overdue invoices in accordance with applicable legislation.

10.4 Any costs incurred in recovering outstanding debts may be added to the amount owed where permitted by law.

11. Liability

11.1 Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.

11.2 Subject to clause 11.1, our total liability shall be limited to the amount paid by the customer for the services giving rise to the claim.

11.3 We shall not be liable for:

  • Indirect or consequential losses.

  • Loss of profits.

  • Loss of business.

  • Loss arising from pre-existing property defects.

  • Damage caused by pests prior to treatment.

12. Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for delays or failure to perform our obligations due to events beyond our reasonable control, including severe weather, natural disasters, strikes, supply shortages, or government restrictions.

13. Complaints

Any complaint should be submitted in writing within 14 days of the service being provided.

We will investigate all complaints and aim to respond within a reasonable timeframe.

14. Data Protection

We process personal data in accordance with applicable UK data protection legislation and our Privacy Policy.

Information may be used for:

  • Booking and administering services.

  • Customer communication.

  • Compliance with legal obligations.

We will not sell personal data to third parties.

15. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
